The police are on the scene in the Rosengård district of Malmö after a suspected hazardous object was found in a stairwell on Saturday morning.

The National Bomb Protection Unit has been called in and is on its way to investigate the object.

According to P4 Malmöhus it is a nine-storey building where the residents have been evacuated.

The entire stairwell is affected by the evacuation and it is cordoned off, says the police's press spokesperson Sara Andersson, to the radio.
