A car company in central Borås started burning heavily during the night towards Monday. The police suspect that some form of explosive material was thrown into the premises which then started burning.
We received an alarm about blasts at 02 o'clock with a subsequent fire and assess that someone has thrown something in, says Morten Gunneng, duty officer at police region West.
No person has been reported injured so far.
We are on site with five patrols plus the rescue service, so it's a fairly large effort. Hopefully, the fire will not spread, it's a standalone fairly large premises, so there is no immediate risk, says Morten Gunneng.
An investigation into arson has been initiated.
