"Due to information that has appeared in the media that prosecutors have made a negative decision to conduct a search of a vehicle, I can state that no such decision has been made by me or any other prosecutor at the National Anti-Corruption Unit," says prosecutor and head of the preliminary investigation, Oskar Edvardsson, in the press release.
Previously, Dagens Nyheter spoke to police in Borlänge, who claim that they wanted to search the car they had been watching for marked ballots, but that the head of the preliminary investigation then said no.
Furthermore, the Public Prosecutor's Office writes that no one has been detained and no one has been served with a suspicion of a crime regarding the suspected election fraud in Borlänge.
"A number of different investigative measures are being carried out, but we will not go into what they are," says Edvardsson.
