The 20-year-old man who is on trial for having shot and killed two people in a residence in Norrköping last June does not suffer from a severe mental disorder. This is shown by a forensic psychiatric examination carried out on the man.

The 20-year-old can thus be sentenced to prison and prosecutor Lisa Åberg has pleaded for life imprisonment.

The police were alerted to a shooting in the Hageby district shortly after midnight on June 3 last year. Inside an apartment, two men were found shot dead.

According to the indictment, the murders are linked to a conflict between criminal networks in Norrköping and that there has been a threat against a relative of one of the murdered.

The 20-year-old could be arrested nearby shortly afterwards. According to the investigation, he had entered the residence by breaking a window. Inside the apartment, he shot the men dead with an automatic carbine.

The man is previously unpunished and resident in Västra Götaland. Two other young men are charged with aiding and abetting the murders. All three deny.

The trial continues in Norrköping District Court next week.
