A suspected dangerous object has been found outdoors in an industrial area in Brandbergen, Haninge, south of Stockholm.
It was lying in a green area, but with close proximity to the industrial area, says the police's press spokesperson Carina Skagerlind.
The area around the object was cordoned off and those working in the industrial area were asked to leave.
The alarm came at 11 am on Thursday. By 2 pm, the national bomb squad had completed their work on site.
The cordons will be reduced somewhat and our technicians will continue working on site, says Carina Skagerlind.
She cannot say what kind of object was found and if it was live.
The incident is being investigated as an attempt at general endangerment and a violation of the law on fire hazardous and explosive goods.
