A suspected dangerous object has been found outdoors in an industrial area in Brandbergen, Haninge, south of Stockholm.
It was lying in a green area, but with close proximity to the industrial area, says the police's press spokesperson Carina Skagerlind.
The area around the object was cordoned off and those working in the industrial area were asked to leave.
The alarm came at 11 am on Thursday. In the afternoon, the cordons could be lifted when the national bomb squad and the police technicians had finished their work on site.
The police do not want to say what kind of object it was. There is also no information about whether it was live.
The incident is being investigated as an attempt at general endangerment and a breach of the law on fire hazardous and explosive goods.
