"We have taken over some properties nearby," police spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr said.
Police have also cordoned off the adjacent area.
Fredrik Svedemyr said he could not say what kind of object was found. The National Bomb Squad has been called in. The incident is currently classified as attempted endangerment of public safety.
The alarm about the object came at around 2:15 p.m. on Sunday.
