The object was found in a residential area in the Rotorp district at 14:30 on Monday and had been taken into custody by the police's bomb technicians four hours later.
According to information to TV4 News it is a termosbomb and on Hallandsposten's pictures the technicians are handling an object that matches that description.
A total of four people have been arrested, three of them are suspected of attempted public endangerment and one for aiding and abetting the same. A fifth person has been brought in for questioning. Among the five people, who are between 25-50 years old, is one woman.
Several of the blockades have been lifted, but some remain pending a technical investigation. During the operation, a preschool was evacuated.
