We have an extensive cordon and we have contacted residents in some houses, asking them not to leave their homes, said Mats Eriksson, press spokesperson for the Stockholm Police.
The alarm was received just before 10 p.m. on Sunday after a suspicious object was discovered outside a townhouse in Farsta.
We are not touching anything at the site and are waiting for experts from the bomb disposal unit, but we suspect it is dangerous and have initiated a preliminary investigation into preparing an act likely to endanger the public, said Mats Eriksson.
There is currently no suspect.
