According to SVT Öst, an apartment building was cordoned off and contact was made with the national bomb squad. Several homes in close proximity to the location where the object was found were evacuated.
But just before 10 a.m., the danger was over when the object was deemed not to be live.
The object will be taken care of and moved from the address, says Olle Älvroth, police press spokesperson, to SVT Öst.
