Object in Gothenburg was harmless

The National Bomb Protection Agency has assessed the suspected dangerous object in Gothenburg as harmless, the police announce.

The alarm about the object, which was found outdoors in an area of Gothenburg, came at 6 p.m. The area was cordoned off and traffic was affected.

The national bomb disposal unit was called to the scene to examine the object, and at 7:15 p.m. the police announced that it was assessed as "non-hazardous" and that the cordons would be lifted.
