A man has been found injured outdoors in the Kungshall area of Nybro. The man, who is in his 60s, has been injured by a sharp object, according to the police.
He is at least initially seriously injured. The ambulance is on its way to take him to the hospital and we are working on gathering information at the scene, says Fredrik Bratt, press spokesperson for the police in Region South.
A preliminary investigation into suspected attempted murder has been initiated, but so far, no traces of the perpetrator have been found.
The nearest residents in the area must stay indoors while the police cordon off the area.
