The police were called at 8 p.m. on Monday to an address in the Brynäs district of Gävle.
The public reported hearing screams and yelling coming from a residence. When we arrived, we found two injured people, says police spokesman Stefan Larsson.
It is unclear what injuries the people suffered.
A person has been arrested and is suspected of attempted murder. The police do not want to say whether the suspect knew the two injured people.
"I have no information that there is any additional perpetrator. It is being treated as an isolated incident, so there is no danger to the public at this time," says Larsson.
