Suspected Arson Leaves Hovmantorp Apartments Uninhabitable

Twelve apartments in an apartment building in Hovmantorp in Lessebo municipality have become uninhabitable after a severe fire during the night.

A first fire broke out in the house already on Tuesday evening, reports local media. The police are investigating the incident as a suspected arson.

The first fire broke out on the second floor in the three-story house, writes Smålandsposten. At 03 o'clock, the rescue service received a new alarm and then the roof structure was fully ablaze.

The entire house had to be evacuated and 40 people were involved in the rescue effort. No one was injured.
