The two other affected persons, two men in their 25s, are considered lightly injured after jumping out of the window to escape the fire.
The incident is being investigated as aggravated arson and the police are now searching for a perpetrator.

Exactly how the fire was started is unclear, but it began at the apartment door and is not believed to be an accident. Neighbors alerted the authorities to thick smoke development in the stairwell at 8 am on Tuesday morning.
The police cannot say exactly how the connection between the three affected persons looks, other than that the two lightly injured men live in the apartment.
