According to the prosecutor, the person has been released and is no longer a suspect.
"After the detention request was submitted, new circumstances have emerged that mean I no longer consider the person a suspect. I have therefore decided to release the person," District Attorney Oskar Hedström says in a press release.
The person had been requested to be detained, but the request has now been withdrawn. No one else has been arrested in the case, according to the prosecutor.
The municipality's call to parents not to let their children walk to and from school alone remains in effect.
