The man suspected of driving a car into a crowd at a festival in Vancouver, Canada is formally accused of eight cases of intentional but not premeditated murder, the police announce.
More charges are expected in connection with the incident, in which at least eleven people were killed and dozens injured.
The police have ruled out terrorism, but no motive has been confirmed for the deed that occurred on Saturday evening. The suspect is already known to the police due to his background with mental health issues.
