The 23-year-old man who is suspected of the knife attacks in central Tammerfors on Thursday chose the victims randomly, according to the police.
Three women and one man were seriously injured in the attack that took place outside a well-visited shopping center. Several witnesses were also shocked by the incident.
The incident is being investigated as four cases of attempted murder. The suspected man has described to the police that he felt persecuted and that everyone was his enemy, and that he wanted to end the suffering. The man has previously been convicted of violent crime.
It is still unclear whether the knife attack was planned. The man has been remanded in custody.
