Earlier on Thursday, he was handed over to the New York police after agreeing to be extradited to the state to stand trial for murder.
He was taken back to New York by helicopter and faces new federal charges, including stalking.

The 26-year-old, who is suspected of the murder, has so far been detained in the state of Pennsylvania where he was arrested after being on the run from the state of New York.
