In February, an investigation into a suspected serious crime was initiated in Oskarshamn. One person has now been detained, suspected of murder on probable grounds, according to the Prosecution Authority.
"As a result of the investigation, an apartment has been cordoned off", the Prosecution Authority writes in a press release on Saturday.
According to information provided to Aftonbladet, the police conducted a search of an apartment in Oskarshamn in February and found human remains in a freezer.
The person living in the apartment was not at home at the time and the police began to suspect that the person had fled abroad. The person had been arrested in absentia but has now been apprehended by the police in Sweden, according to Aftonbladet's information.
