The man suspected of setting a fire in Governor Josh Shapiro's residence in Harrisburg actually planned to attack the governor with a hammer. This is shown by court documents released on Monday.

The man climbed over a security fence in the middle of the night and broke into the building where he started a fire. The plan was to find the governor and hit him with a hammer.

The governor, his family, and guests were evacuated from the building.

The 38-year-old suspected man is charged with, among other things, attempted murder, terrorism, aggravated arson, and aggravated assault.
