A more powerful pyrotechnic device exploded late on Sunday evening in a villa area in Nälsta in western Stockholm. A suspected perpetrator was arrested shortly after the blast.
The police have initiated an investigation into gross unlawful threats and offenses against the law on fire hazardous and explosive goods. No one was injured, but a sign on a villa was damaged.
The area was cordoned off and forensic technicians began an investigation. Witnesses were heard and a review of footage from surveillance cameras is being conducted.
