"The Supreme Court has reviewed the material and found no reason to grant leave to appeal," the court wrote in its decision on Tuesday.

The longest sentence went to the "garbage queen" Fariba Andersson, formerly of Vancor, who was sentenced to five years in prison. She and three other people were convicted of serious environmental crimes in 18 different places in the country.
Several more people were convicted by the Court of Appeal.
For several years, the waste company Think Pink dumped hundreds of thousands of tons of waste illegally at a number of locations in Sweden. The waste, mainly construction and demolition waste, was supposed to be sorted but was crushed and piled up or buried.
