The Supreme Court (HD) will not review the verdict against Fredrik Lundgren, also known as Nytorgsmannen, reports P4 Malmöhus. Thus, the court of appeal's verdict of four years' imprisonment stands.

He has been sentenced by the court of appeal to four years in prison for rape of a 17-year-old girl and sexual harassment of women and children. The verdict was appealed to the Supreme Court, which has now announced that he will not be granted a leave to appeal.

The District Court in Lund sentenced Fredrik Lundgren to five years in prison for the rape, which was committed in his home in Hörby last October. The court of appeal then reduced the sentence to four years, since they did not assess the rape as gross.

Just like the district court, the court of appeal considered that it was a case of improper exploitation of the girl. She was in a particularly vulnerable situation and did not participate voluntarily in intercourse, the court believes, which takes into account the large age difference, the girl's social situation and that she was intoxicated with alcohol.
