The Supreme Court in the USA stops President Donald Trump from immediately firing Lisa Cook, member of the central bank Federal Reserve, reports Bloomberg.

According to the Supreme Court, Cook will be able to keep her position at least until January when her case will be taken up again.

Since August, Trump has tried to get rid of Cook, whom he accuses of not having handled her mortgage applications in a correct manner.

Wednesday's Supreme Court decision is the latest in a series of legal setbacks for Trump in his attempts to get rid of the Fed member.
