The reason is that the police classified IFK Göteborg-linked supporter groups as criminal networks and several supporters were banned from staying.

Nine out of ten residence bans were lifted after a review in the district court, but that is not enough, according to SFSU, which believes that the damage had already been done.

Therefore, the Ombudsman wants to examine, among other things, whether the decisions on residence bans were sufficiently individualized, whether they were in reasonable proportion to the alleged acts, and whether the decisions were served in a considerate manner by the police.

SFSU is a nationwide organization for football supporter groups.
