The Hang Seng in Hong Kong rose 1.9 percent.
Things are also up in Tokyo. Topix rose 1.3 percent and the Nikkei 225 rose 0.9 percent.
Shanghai also rose 1.1 percent and Shenzhen rose 0.8 percent.
