Parkteatern, Stockholm June–August
Culture House Stadsteatern offers cultural events for both children and adults at several locations. It will feature everything from "Gustav Vasa – the musical" and cello concerts to stand-up comedy with Ahmed Berhan and Kodjo Akolor.
Sommarlund, Lund 15 June–9 August
Events at several locations in Lund during the summer, including concerts with Lisa Ekdahl and Blacknuss.
Sommar i Landskrona, 4 July–9 August
The municipality is offering eleven free concerts with, among others, Moneybrother, Melissa Horn, Mapei, and Annika Norlin.
Putte i parken, Sala 5–6 July, Luleå 11–13 July
The traveling festival is coming this year to Sala and Luleå with Medina and Anis Don Demina on stage. Petra Marklund and Adaam will perform in Sala, while Hurula and Rix Fm's festival package with, among others, Darin and Victor Leksell, will come to Luleå.
Trästocksfestivalen, Skellefteå 19–20 July
Among this year's artists at the non-profit festival are Joshua Idehen, Marida, Maida Vaile, Kjells Bänk, Lucid Blues, and Mollgan, Willy Wong & Ms Dumbuya. As usual, with a focus on artists with roots in the north.
Kalmar stadsfest, 7–10 August
Performing are Avantgardet, Medina, Nause, Carola, Cherrie, Lisa Ekdahl, Felicia Takman, and others.
Malmöfestivalen, 9–16 August
A whole week with lots of music on multiple stages. Youssou N'dour, Elissa, Steve Angello, Cherrie, Carola, Watain, Arooj Aftab, and A36 are just a few of this year's artists.
Parkteater, Västerås 13–18 August
Västmanland's theater is offering several free performances – including Willy Russell's "Shirley Valentine" with Bodil Malmberg and a stand-up evening with comedians like Tobias Persson.
Kulturfestivalen, Stockholm 14–18 August
Besides artists like Norlie & KKV, Tjuvjakt, and Peg Parnevik, this year's festival is offering a Caribbean party where, among others, soca star Kes the Band from Trinidad & Tobago will provide the music.
Sommarbio i Rålis, Stockholm, 14–18 August
Stockholm Film Festival is transforming Rålambshovsparken on Kungsholmen into an outdoor cinema for a few evenings. This year, they will show "Mamma Mia", "Barbie", "Goldeneye", "Gladiator", and "Princess Mononoke".
Göteborgs Kulturkalas, 29 August–1 September
This year's edition of the city festival has booked artists like Medina, The Hellacopters, Omar Rudberg, Dina Ögon, and Loreen.
