It is toxic and corrosive. The personnel who discovered it have been checked by ambulance and are not affected at all by the leak, Joel Johansson, duty officer at the rescue service, tells the radio.
They checked them to make sure they hadn't inhaled fumes, but they are not currently affected.
What caused the leak is unclear, but according to the fire department, the entire tank has been emptied.
Drones were reportedly used to assess the leak, which spread into the sugar mill's internal stormwater system.
