For the third day in a row, the paramilitary RSF is accused of drone attacks against Sudan's capital and its largest airport.

The airport attack occurs the day after the first passenger flight in two years landed in the city, according to local media.

RSF (Rapid Support Forces), which has been at war with Sudan's regular army since 2023, is trying to maintain pressure on the army with the latest attacks. Thursday's drone was neutralized, says a military representative.

Khartoum's airport has suffered significant damage during the civil war, which since April 2023, according to WHO, has claimed at least 40,000 human lives. Around 30 million people are in need of emergency aid in what is described as the world's largest humanitarian crisis.
