The score was 0–0 when Manzambi and Vargas were substituted in the 71st minute.

Their entry cannot be considered anything other than a resounding success.

It began with Manzambi making it 1-0 with a fine volley just minutes after coming on. It continued with Vargas making it 2-0 in the 84th minute.

They combined for the next goal, when Vargas played Manzambi through to make it 3–0.

The late scoring explosion in Los Angeles continued as yet another substitute - Bosnian Ermin Mahmic - scored a stoppage-time goal. Granit Xhaka put an end to it when he scored from the penalty spot to make it 4-1.

Switzerland stands on four points and is close to advancing ahead of its final game against Canada.

Bosnia-Herzegovina has one point, but still has a chance to advance. Qatar awaits in the final group game.
