Rebecka Blomqvist withdraws from the Swedish national football team. National team debutant Beata Olsson is called up.

On Monday, the national team squad will enter the Algarve bubble ahead of the double meetings with France – matches where a bronze medal in the Nations League is at stake.

But even before the meeting starts, national team captain Tony Gustavsson is forced to adjust his plans.

Rebecka Blomqvist, who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt, has been forced to decline after being diagnosed with an injury.

Instead, a debutant in strong form will join the squad: Liverpool's 24-year-old striker Beata Olsson.

After moving from Kristianstads DFF this summer, she has taken big steps - and this weekend she showed her goal form with a hat trick against Sheffield United.

Sweden will face France in a doubleheader on Friday, November 28th and Tuesday, December 2nd.
