When Norwegian biathlete Sturla Holm Lægreid admitted to infidelity the other day and asked his ex for a second chance on NRK's television broadcast, he drew attention away from his compatriot Johan-Olav Botn, who took gold in the distance race.
Lægreid had to apologize to both Botn and his ex-girlfriend for his television appearance.
He at least managed to recharge for the sprint race three days later when he took another bronze.
"I've just tried to focus on the important things and keep my thoughts in order," he says.
He says he didn't care about all the writing.
"The storm is passing," Lægreid says.
