Together, the parties will develop a project for four reactors (SMRs) of the BWRX-300 type with a total output of 1.2 gigawatts. The first reactor is expected to be in operation in the mid-2030s, Studsvik writes in a press release.
The company has not yet decided where the reactors will be built. The choice is between Studsvik's existing nuclear facility in Nyköping or Målma in Valdemarsvik.
