The letter was sent by the Japanese trade organization Content Overseas Distribution Association (CODA), which represents, among other things, Studio Ghibli.

Among others, Open AI’s CEO Sam Altman has jumped on the trend and has a profile picture on the X platform that strongly resembles Studio Ghibli’s works.
