The class was asked to answer which categories, according to ideologies such as fascism, social Darwinism and eugenics, two students with a foreign background - who were asked to stand in front of their classmates - and the teacher themselves would be considered to belong to.
"It was a situation that was very offensive to the student, which the teacher must have realized," said the Discrimination Ombudsman (DO) Lars Arrhenius in a press release at the end of May.
It is now clear that Hässleholm Municipality has agreed to DO's request to pay 70,000 SEK to the student.
