A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with severe injuries after being hit by a firework at a student graduation ceremony in Karlstad.
The fireworks were fired into a crowd during the celebration and the man was hit in the face and suffered "severe but not life-threatening injuries", the police write on their website.
The police are investigating the incident as causing bodily harm. A man, also in his 20s, is suspected of having lit a so-called firework cake in the middle of a crowd.
Several people were hit by the firework, but the police have no information about further injuries.
