Stuart Baxter takes over Halmstad as interim coach

According to several reports in Hallandsposten, it is clear that the 72-year-old will step in as temporary coach.

"The interim solution needs to be someone who knows the Allsvenskan. Then we'll work on the long-term plan and see which names emerge," club manager Jesper Westerberg told the newspaper earlier this week.

Baxter, who was at the club from 1988 to 1991, was a mentor to the fired Lindholm and has coached clubs in Norway, Portugal, Japan, Turkey, South Africa and India, and has been national team coach for Finland and South Africa.

Halmstad is without a win in six matches and is two points behind in the table.
