Strong Winds Halt European Tour Golf in Scotland

The storm Amy stops play on the European Tour in golf. Now the competition is shortened.

The entire third round on the Scottish courses Old Course in St Andrews, Kingsbarns and Carnoustie is moved to Sunday. It is strong winds that make play impossible on the links courses on Saturday.

Later on Saturday, the tournament organizer decided to shorten the tournament to three rounds, 54 holes.

Mikael Lindberg is tied for fourth after two days of play at -10, two strokes behind the leading duo Richard Sterne, South Africa and Robert McIntyre, Scotland.
