Wind speed is expected to reach 21-23 seconds per meter in a south-westerly direction at lunchtime on Tuesday and locally along the coast with gusts of 25 seconds per meter.
The bad weather can according to SMHI affect public transport with delays or cancelled departures and there is also a risk of disruptions in power and telephone networks in areas with aerial cables.
SMHI urges residents along the coast to secure loose objects such as trampolines and garden furniture.
The wind subsides on Tuesday evening.
