Above all, the companies reporting order intake have been a positive surprise, believes Lars Söderfjell, head of equities at the Bank of Åland.
It bodes well for the second half of the year, he says.
Among the listed companies' second-quarter reports, Atlas Copco and ABB stand out.
Atlas Copco showed a broad positive surprise in order intake, and then I noted ABB, which has extremely strong order intake driven by data centres, says Söderfjell.
Otherwise, it has been very much in line with expectations in terms of both revenue and profitability. Söderfjell has compiled the reports of the OMXS30 companies since 2009.
It's been a long time since I saw such small total deviations, he says.
The question is what the stable quarter says about Sweden's business sector.
I would say things are doing quite well. Especially when it comes to industrial companies, while it's a bit more mixed for consumer companies.
The economy may pick up
Maria Landeborn, senior strategist at Danske Bank, believes that the bank reports are particularly interesting because they provide a picture of the economic situation.
There was a clear trend in SEB and Nordea that you see more increased activity in the corporate market, and that is a sign that the economy is turning upwards, she says, adding that strong order books among industrial companies are a positive sign for the economy.
Landeborn and Söderfjell agree that there could be a strong second half of the year on the stock market.
"We don't think valuations are particularly strained on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The reports point to this being a very good ending," says Söderfjell.
Joker in the Middle East
But there are a couple of clouds of worry that could cause problems for the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
There is uncertainty regarding geopolitics and not least what is happening in the Strait of Hormuz. But that is the joker that you have. Plus there is often a bit of anxiety around the American elections and the mid-term elections in particular, says Söderfjell.
Landeborn agrees.
"What could dampen the mood is if we were to have a greatly escalated conflict in the Middle East. If the situation does not worsen, I think we will have a good end to this year," she says.
