The proportion of consumers who shopped online was measured at 77 percent, which is the highest proportion in a single month since the measurements began in 2020. The previous peak of 76 percent was in November last year.
Per Ljungberg, innovation manager at the industry organization, says that this is the sixth month in a row that we have seen an increase compared to the same month last year.
The proportion of people shopping online from abroad was 27 percent in November. The previous high was 24 percent in April this year.
More than one in ten consumers shopped online from the Chinese discount players Temu and Shein – something that Swedish Commerce calls worrying.
