The strike was due to begin on Friday, September 25, but on Thursday evening, the news came that a collective agreement had been signed.
"This is a big victory for the members at King. For a long time, they have stood firm on their demand for a collective agreement and refused to give up even though the road to get here has been both long and challenging," says Martin Wästfelt, Unionen's head of negotiations, in a press release.
On September 15, Unionen and the Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers gave notice of a strike against King. A few days later, more unions joined the strike notice.
