Around 60 members of the Italian mafia have been convicted of coordinating drug trafficking and committing economic crimes in the country, AFP reports.
The trial of the now-convicted individuals, who had ties to the well-known criminal groups 'Ndrangheta, Cosa Nostra and Camorra, began in May last year.
One of the defendants was Giuseppe Fidanzati, the son of Cosa Nostra boss Gaetano, who died in 2013.
