The Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer (M) will meet his Danish counterpart, Peter Hummelgaard (S), in person in Denmark next week.
The meeting takes place after a wave of violence in Denmark with strong Swedish connections. On Wednesday, a Swedish citizen was arrested with hand grenades on him in Copenhagen, and in recent times, several other Swedes have been arrested for suspected involvement in serious crimes in Denmark.
Denmark's Minister of Justice has previously stated that since April, there have been 25 incidents involving what he calls "Swedish child soldiers".
In an interview with TT this week, Hummelgaard said, among other things:
Sweden must clean up its mess.
The purpose of Strömmer's visit is to discuss how cooperation between Sweden and Denmark can be strengthened to combat cross-border crime and the recruitment of children and young people by criminal networks, according to his press secretary Erica Wide for TT.
