This war must be stopped before it grows bigger and the region is completely engulfed in flames, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
Erdogan said de-escalation and diplomacy are possible if the parties want. On Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi ruled out new negotiations with the United States, citing "bitter experiences in talks with the Americans." The previous rounds of talks, in which the United States demanded major concessions, ended with the outbreak of war.
Turkey has apparently not been drawn into the war, although two ballistic missiles were reportedly intercepted over southeastern Turkish airspace in the past five days.
