Heavy rainfall and landslides are believed to have caused the popular natural spire to collapse.
"Two people have lost their lives. One injured person has been taken to hospital," said Cappadocia's local governor, Hüseyin Kök.
Several people are reported to be trapped under the collapsed rock formations.
