A former employee stole more than 18 million kronor from her employer, the City of Solna. She has now been sentenced to three years in prison. The woman believed she was in a relationship with Mick Jagger - and wanted to help him financially.

The woman, who is in her 60s, transferred a total of SEK 18.3 million from the municipality to her own bank accounts in 179 transfers between 2019 and 2023.

Solna District Court has sentenced the woman to three years in prison for gross breach of trust against her principal. She must also pay SEK 18.8 million plus interest in damages to her former employer.

The woman was contacted on Instagram in 2018 by a person claiming to be rock star Mick Jagger. The contact led to them starting a relationship, and after four months the person began asking the woman for money.
