Oil prices and market interest rates are starting the trading week higher after US President Donald Trump rejected an Iranian proposal on how traffic through the Strait of Hormuz could be opened.
The development is putting downward pressure on risk appetite and, in turn, stock markets around the world.
The price of North Sea oil (Brent) is up 2.6 percent at $107.80 per barrel. The price of fossil gas on the Amsterdam Commodity Exchange is up 1.5 percent at €73.20 per megawatt hour.
The Stockholm Stock Exchange ended last week up 0.6 percent, which means a rise of 8.2 percent since the turn of the year.
