Mining group Boliden rose on higher metal prices, up 1.5 percent. Mining equipment company Epiroc also rose 1.5 percent.
Engineering giant Atlas Copco took a hit on rising AI shares and rose 1.2 percent.
Clothing chain H&M fell 3.0 percent after a lower recommendation.
The leading European stock exchanges also rose on Wednesday.
Wall Street started slightly lower on Wednesday after new inflation figures from the US and ahead of tonight's report from chip giant Nvidia.
The price of North Sea oil initially fell sharply, but began to rise in the afternoon. At 5:30 p.m. Swedish time, the price was around $88.40 per barrel.
The OMXS index has risen 10 percent since the turn of the year.
