Wall Street closed higher on Tuesday. And it has been broadly up in Asian stock trading overnight. This is especially true on the Seoul Stock Exchange, where technology stocks are rising as investors position themselves ahead of tonight's report from US chip giant Nvidia.
The price of North Sea oil is falling for the third day in a row, down 2.1 percent to $86.70 per barrel. Reports that Iran and Oman have resumed talks on how to open the Strait of Hormuz are contributing to the decline.
On Tuesday, the Stockholm Stock Exchange's OMXS index rose 0.8 percent, which represents an increase of 9.8 percent since the turn of the year.
