Among the winners is packaging company SCA, which rose 2.0 percent after its interim report. Mining group Boliden is another winner, up 3.2 percent.
Other reporting companies are having a tougher time. Cloud services company Sinch is down 7.9 percent, while steel group SSAB is down 0.1 percent.
A higher oil price and continued fighting around the Persian Gulf loom large as the market grows nervous ahead of one of the most important temperature checks of the reporting season from the AI sector: tonight's quarterly figures from Google owner Alphabet.
The price of North Sea oil (Brent) rises 3.4 percent to $94 per barrel.
